Apple cut hundreds jobs to prioritize AI development

Apple cut more than 200 jobs across its Vision Pro, Siri, and AI software groups as part of a strategic shift to prioritize next-generation artificial intelligence hardware and new device development.

Around 100 positions were removed from the Vision Pro team, while another 100 affected Siri and the Intelligent Systems Experience group

Apple confirmed the cuts to Bloomberg, saying it was looking “to evolve our business to deliver the best experiences for our users.”

It added: “While we will create new roles as part of this change, it will also impact a limited number of existing roles.”
